Plaza Oaks Club Rules
The lifeguards and the managers are in charge of the facility. Members of all ages must show them respect and comply with their requests for the safety of all concerned.
All members must sign in and pay guest dues as needed.
All swimmers must wear bathing suits in the pool. Cutoffs and street clothes are not allowed.
Children in regular diapers or training pants will not be allowed to swim in either of the pools without a swim diaper. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the snack shack.
Before a child is permitted to use the pool unattended, he or she must be at least ten (10) years of age and pass a swim test administered by one of the pool staff. A child under age ten (10) years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 15 years of age who has passed the swim test.
Anyone with an open sore or wound, a temperature or a communicable disease is not allowed in the pool.
Children in the baby pool must be under constant and direct supervision of an adult. There is NO lifeguard assigned to the baby pool. No children over the age of five (5) years are allowed in the baby pool.
An adult only swim will be observed ten minutes before each hour during all hours of operation. No children (including infants) are permitted to be in the pool during adult swim when no lifeguard is on duty.
Members are allowed to bring guests to the pool and all guests must be accompanied by a member. All guests are subject to a $5.00 fee per day. Members may be asked to pay guest fees after the fact for non-paying guests. A guest who lives within the club membership boundaries is limited to two visits per year.
Out of town guests of a member are to be admitted free of charge when registered with the manager or lifeguards.
No glass containers, bottles, or other objects are allowed within any fenced-in area of the facility, playground and outdoor kitchen included.
Only members are allowed to use the facility to teach swim lessons.
Food and drinks are not allowed in or on the edge of the pool.
Running and horseplay are prohibited. Persons not complying with this rule must take full responsibility for any resulting injury or damage and are subject to removal and disciplinary action by the lifeguards, manager or the Board.
Bicycle riding is not permitted inside any fenced-in area. Bicycles must be parked in the bicycle stands provided in the parking lot.
Skateboards, roller blades, roller skates and scooters are not allowed inside any fenced-in area of the facility.
Only one person at a time may be on the slide and the steps of the slide. Toys are prohibited on the slide.
Only one person at a time is permitted on the diving board and the steps of the diving board. People using the diving board must jump into the water from the end of the board.
Only lifeguards, the manager and Board members are allowed in the office. No animals or pets are allowed inside any fenced-in area of the facility.
Derogatory, disrespectful, profane or prejudicial language will not be tolerated.
The picnic facilities, including the outdoor kitchen, gas grills and picnic tables are available for all members to use. Please make sure you thoroughly clean up after you use them.
Use of alcoholic beverages is discouraged on the club grounds. Drunken or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated and persons displaying such behavior will be asked to leave the club. GLASS CONTAINERS ARE PROHIBITED.
No guns, knives, or weapons of any kind are allowed on the club grounds.
No water guns are allowed in the pool area.
Hanging on any part of the basketball goals is prohibited.
Drivers will be cautious and drive slowly on the grounds, being aware of bicycle riders, pedestrians and other cars.
Please do not distract the lifeguards while on duty.
The lifeguards, manager and Board members have the authority to take necessary action to enforce all club rules, including expulsion and calling for law enforcement officials.
